Jim White

I am getting old. The remainder of my years I hereby pledge and devote to my family, my friends, my associates, and other things of sincere mutual interest that are meaningful to me ... and them. I love music, all music, and you will find links to music assembled and orchestrated by Forthe & his TumbleBug Orchestra scattered about our websites. I love people, dogs, and nature, but willingly contend with everything else when need arises. I wear bibbed overalls, and pullover short sleeved shirts - I don't own a pair of belted trousers or a belt, a shirt that buttons in the front, a suit, a necktie, cowboy boots (don't much care for horses), or a pickup truck (gave it away).

I love the simple things in life, but I am deeply involved with modern technology, which is a two-edged sword in more ways than could be enumerated here.  I care about the truth for it is most difficult to live and survive using lies, and to that end elsewhere amongst my several websites you will find a short treatise with truth as the center point of discourse.

Things I don't care much about ... liars ... lies ... deception ... deceit ... fast food eateries ... weak coffee ... designer haircuts for men ... shaving daily (although my beard is mostly white) ... narrow cabin seats on commercial airliners ... automobiles I must step down into to get in ... tightly confined places ... places densely populated by human beings ... ice storms, hurricanes, typhoons, tornados, snow when more than six inches deep ... outside air temperatures above 90o or below -10o ... drought ... people that don't work ... lies and liars.

Things that give me pure joy ... life ... newly born babies ... kids ... grandkids ... morning sunrises and evening sunsets ... gentle spring rains ... clear blue sky ... puffy white cumulous clouds ... water flowing down a clear stream making sounds as it crashes into rocks ... 12 string banjos ... E-flat pianos with metal strikers ... wash-tub bass fiddles ... kettle drums in a 128 piece orchestra ... flute music by Native Americans ... smells of a pot of beans flavored with bacon grease bubbling on the stove with taters frying in a skillet and corn bread baking in a cast iron skillet in the oven.
